LegalShield provides access to legal services offered by a network of provider law firms to LegalShield members through membership-based participation. Neither LegalShield nor its officers, employees or sales associates directly or indirectly provide legal services, representation, or advice. Small Business Legal Plans and certain benefits are not available in all provinces. See a Small Business Legal Plan contract for a specific province or territory for complete terms, coverage, amounts, and conditions. Custom contract drafting services don’t include mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, or private placements, administrative or regulatory matters or franchise agreements and legal matters covered under Designated Consultations, pleadings or any documents related to administrative proceedings or lawsuits. Negotiations and redrafts are available under the 25% discount from the Provider Lawyer’s hourly rate.
Pre-Paid Legal Services, Inc. d/b/a LegalShield and PPL Legal Care of Canada Corporation d/b/a LegalShield (“LegalShield”) do not offer legal plans in Québec. Legal plans for Québec residents are offered by NextGen CC&C Avocats Inc., a Québec law firm (“NextGen”), and are subject to the terms and conditions of the legal services contract with NextGen. NextGen is managed by Québec lawyers, who are not agents or employees of LegalShield. Sales, marketing, and administration are provided by LegalShield. LegalShield independent associates provide marketing services for NextGen and applicable commissions will be paid through LegalShield.
